What is a Magna Clean Filter?

Magna Clean is a new system that uses magnets to take unwanted rust particles out of your central heating. These filters extend the life of your boiler by protecting your heat exchanger and providing you with higher efficiency whilst saving you money.  For more information about how Magna Clean systems work, visit www.adey.com

When should I get my boiler serviced?

It is recommended that you have your boiler serviced annually to ensure safe operation.

What boiler should I get?

Boilers come in a range of sizes and qualities to suit different kinds of houses and different customers. Combination boilers are the most popular- they provide a compact solution to your hot water and central heating needs. GoCarey can help you to select the boiler that’s right for you and your budget.

What are zone controls?

The latest building regulations require that large buildings have central heating and hot water zones and this is done by adding thermostatically controlled valves to your system. This can separate different floors of the building or different areas depending on your specific needs. The addition of these systems improve the efficiency of your system, reducing costs.

How long will a boiler take to replace?

Changing the boiler should take a day but because the building regulations require that systems are flushed properly, I normally allow a minimum of two days for a boiler change over. This ensures the system is properly cleaned before the new boiler is put into position.

Why is my boiler pressure low?

You may find that your boiler drops pressure occasionally- this is quite normal in all systems, due to wear and tear. Small leaks can appear and also evaporation- day to day use means that over time the pressure inside the system will drop. It is always worth getting an engineer to check your system over if this is happening more than once a year, but it should be adequate to have it checked and topped up during your annual boiler service.
